Curriculum Vitae

I am deeply committed to advancing the field of political science through teaching, research, and practical community engagement. My academic journey began with a B.A. in Political Science from Wright State University, followed by an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Missouri.

Over the years, I have developed a portfolio of scholarly contributions, including co-authoring books such as Battle for the Heart of Texas: Political Change in the Electorate and Game of Politics: Conflict, Power, & Representation. My research interests are diverse, spanning topics from social control and protest management strategies to public opinion and political representation.

In addition to my research, I am passionate about teaching and mentoring students. I have been honored with several awards for my dedication to education, including the Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Awards from the University of Texas System Board of Regents.

Beyond the classroom, I actively engage in community service and civic activities, organizing events such as the EDEN Film Series and participating in discussions that promote social justice and political awareness. My work aims to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world political issues, fostering a more informed and engaged society.

My curriculum vitae provides a comprehensive overview of my academic background, professional experience, scholarly contributions, and community involvement. It reflects my ongoing commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.
